Green Roof

A green roof is the installation of layers of living vegetation on a building or structure. They are of varying intensities depending upon the thickness and amount of layers. The layers consist of plants, vegetation, filters, drainage, moisture retention and root barriers. These layers help manage stormwater and contribute to improved water quality by retaining and filtering rainwater. The water that does leave the roof is slowed, kept cooler and is cleansed.
