About Retain The Rain

The Retain the Rain program was initiated in 2002 by River Action, Inc. The program seeks to raise public awareness about the damaging effects of storm water runoff, and provide residents with ways to reduce storm water runoff from their property. Those property owners adjacent to wetlands, streams, lakes and rivers play a key role in the effort of managing storm water runoff.
